EE to launch a £99 4G phone in April

EE-Logo-landscapeThe UK’s first 4G operator EE, is rumoured to be launching the UK’s cheapest 4G smartphone, and will be rolling-out a new range of entry-level pay monthly plans for business users.

The EE-branded Android device is code named Kestrel and should – if the rumours are to be believed –  will be available to buy from the end of April for just £99.99 as part of a 4G Pay-As-You-Go plan, or for free on 4G price plans for £13.99 a month.

The device will feature a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, a 4.5in gHD display, and HD voice compatibility.

Would you buy it? Do you believe it? It’s April 1st tomorrow but as far as we know this is no joke.
