LG launches the Optimus F7 4G smartphone

February 27, 2013

LG have launched a new 4G mid-range smartphone the Optimus F7 4G smartphone, but as we reported earlier today (LG say yah boo sucks to UK 4G networks), LG aren’t going to commit to delivering any 4G handsets this end of the year. So it’s unlikely we’ll see this device in the UK. However we thought the Optimus F7 was so good that we’d give you a quick look at the device anyway.

The Optimus F7 is a mid-range phone and is aimed at those who want to try out 4G but don’t want to commit to a two year contract and a kings ransom in monthly payments.

The device has a healthy spec; a dual-core processor, 8GB of internal storage, 8 megapixel main camera, 1.3-megapixel front facing camera and LG’s suite of custom software as well as a big 4.7-inch screen all running on LG’s version of Android’s Jelly Bean (4.1.2) operating system.

The screen uses True HD IPS technology, giving a resolution of 1280 x 720, and that’s fed by a 1.5-GHz dual-core processor, with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of on-board storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via the phone’s microSD card slot.

Sounds great, it’s just shame we won’t be seeing it here in Blighty. Shame!!!
